Ozona President is a medicated snuff produced by Poschl. This snuff is a great snuff if you are seeking a mentholated snuff that is easy to pinch, holds fairly well in the anatomical snuff box, and masks any burning with its cooling agents. Nicotine that is present is enough for a pick-me-up, but not so much that you are left lightheaded.
This snuff delivered a medium amount of vitamin N, a step down from JBR Red, but not by much. The moisture content is moderate to moist, similar to JBR Red or Alpina. Its texture is fluffy and somewhat coarse, making it easy to pinch and hold in the nose, and the tobacco itself is lighter brown with darker bits of leaf. As an indoor snuff, you will have no issues; however, outside, you may find that a breeze can catch the more coarse bits.
The snuff starts with a blend of menthol and camphor. The menthol is strong enough to block most surrounding odours; personally, I found that it effectively masked the smell of the aquarium housing the penguins on a recent field trip to Sea World, dulling the rich ocean scent with its cool tobacco and menthol flavour. The camphor is less pronounced than in JIP! but still provides a long-lasting effect. Eventually, the menthol notes fade, revealing a tobacco base, and there is no "funk" in the tobacco that I have found in other Poschl products. This snuff is comfortable to hold and easy to pinch, and while it may not deliver the intense experience some users seek in medicated snuffs, it's a great option for all-day use and deserves a place in your rotation.
