Said to have been reserved for the high lords of Westeros, Iron Throne's notes enter the fray with a commanding burst of spearmint out of the tin. This is no shy offering; the scent is bold, clear, and immediate. Beneath the initial waves lie quieter notes of peppermint and a trace of pepper, layered like a court's whispers during the day. Additional notes of eucalyptus and camphor are lightly present alongside the mentholated tobacco. The nose burn is present and accounted for, with post-nasal drip on the horizon for anyone who takes a careless sniff.
The grind is somewhat fine, slightly fluffy, and paired with a touch of moisture, making for a comfortable and approachable pinch. It's well-suited for travel and an ideal companion for any would-be Hand of the King traversing the Kingsroad. Nicotine strength is firmly in the mid-to-upper range; a small pinch delivers enough to sharpen the senses without tipping into overload. This isn't a casual, idle snuff. This medium-fine grind may not be suitable for new snuffers, as the bold nicotine and fine-ish grind and light nature of this snuff can lend to overindulgence. Watch those pinches, and you'll be well rewarded. The tobacco itself is dark brown, nearly black rust in colour. This snuff may not be suitable for a brand-new snuffer or the careless seasoned snuffer: the finer grind, coupled with its higher-than-normal nicotine, can mask the familiar nasal burn due to this snuff's cooling agents, which can lead to overindulgence and an unwanted headrush.
The Iron Throne commands presence and rewards attention to the notes of peppermint and pepper. The menthol cooling fades slowly, revealing a faint echo of base tobacco toward the end of the experience. Iron Throne is an intense but not overtly complex modern snuff that packs a wallop of vitamin N to anyone who dares approach the Throne.
