MC's original and genuine snuff is an excellent starter for anyone looking to get into the snuff world. O&G is a fantastic snuff to introduce someone to the mentholated and medicated side of snuff. From the perspective of an American (USA), this snuff sits as a baseline for medicated snuffs; medicated in this sense means the presence of menthol in addition to another cooling agent, such as camphor or eucalyptus.
If you're looking to start your day, this is a great way to open your nasal passages with a respectable level of menthol that lasts throughout the ritual and beyond. This initial coolness is complemented by a blended herbal ice made from eucalyptus or camphor, and the menthol will give way to a very smooth tobacco scent that lingers much longer than the menthol. The nose burn is mild, thanks to the menthol, which helps mask any discomfort, and even a very generous pinch results in a very minor drip. The grind is fine, almost medium; it sits well on your hand, but a light breeze can blow it away, and the base flour turns a light brown colour after it has been aired out.
The nicotine level is moderate to low, so you can enjoy it throughout the day; this snuff can be used all day, with just enough nicotine to keep you going in the long summer days or as a wake-up call in the morning. It has a medium moisture level, with only a little clumping, and there is enough moisture present to make this easy to pinch, but the fine nature requires a lighter sniff than normal. The moisture content is sufficient for an easy-to-use snuff.
