Sir Walter Scotts Auld Alliance has a coarse grind with high moisture content. The blend combines Punjabi Rustica, American Burley, and Bright Leaf Virginia tobaccos. Vanilla pods are added during fermentation and maturation to enhance the natural sweetness of the Virginia leaf.
The nicotine content is high. The vanilla note works with the Virginia tobacco's inherent sweetness to create a vanilla-forward profile with underlying tobacco notes.
