JNF Dragon Madras has a medium-fine grind with dry texture and an oiled appearance that maintains its medium to deep brown colour. The aroma combines ghee and fried tobacco notes with nutty, buttery, and toasted characteristics. Secondary notes include earthy, leathery, and herbal undertones.
The nicotine strength is medium-high to strong. Tasting notes include natural tobacco, burnt, spicy, and leather notes. The blend appears to contain Rustica tobacco as part of its base composition.

A very fine, soft, uniform grind, moist enough to pinch easily, but never clumps much.. In the tin it looks exactly like chocolate cake mix ands smells tannic, toasted nuts, and mouldering leaf litter on a cold clear spring day.
With a GENTLE sniff I get an immediate fuzzy feeling across my forehead, a great sign of strong nicotine being quickly absorbed, it’s quite calming. With too strong a sniff I have easily teared up, so I do recommend some care with this one, it’s quite easy to take and needs little effort.
Once sniffed, my mind always goes first to a STRONG cup of black tea, bitter and tannic before it settles in with a slight bracing feeling. As the suggestion of black tea fades I smell a clean leather chair that could be nearby and a plate of dark sweet toasted bread heaped with butter.
Taken respectfully and understanding that this is quite a strong snuff it’s is a pleasure to use, very little drip, nothing to sniffle about. Taken too eagerly it will give you a sore lesson but is still enjoyable after you’ve wiped away the tears.
Bought this cheeky little number on a whim, as it was on offer. Well... Upon cracking the tin, the first impression was chocolate....not dissimilar to McChrystal's Aztec. But there are subtle hints of leather, with deep earthy undertones. A generous pinch confirmed what lay beneath; a vitamin N haymaker. The supreme compliment to the rustic notes already awakened in my snout.
This snuff may not be to everyone's taste, but for the seasoned sampler, this snuff is as good as it gets for a powerful vitamin N slap inside the skull, minus distracting perfumery.
The snuff itself is a fine grind, slightly moist but the right side of dry. Goes well with a good aged single malt .

This is very good snuff. I'm hooked on it. It is fine to very fine - not quite like flour but close - and strong. If not careful inhaling it will get up into the back of the nasal cavity (I quite like that but some folks don't). A slight nutty aroma with typical Indian snuff smell - not sure what the name of the fat they use to treat snuff with is, so won't try. Not recommended for beginners.
