Poschl - JBR - Black
JBR Black is built around anise and liquorice, with vanilla, cherry and tonka bean as further tasting notes and camphor, eucalyptus and cola as secondary notes. It has medium-light menthol, and the anise and liquorice remain the primary aromatics. The colour is rust-brown to dark brown.
The grind is medium and the moisture is medium, with a light texture and minimal residue. Nicotine strength is medium-light. It belongs to the JBR snuff family and extends that line with a menthol note set against a spice and fruit profile.

This was an impulse buy at a German tobacco shop and I was quite pleasantly surprised. Not as mentholated as other Poschl snuffs which makes it easier to take for me, who is not a huge menthol fan. It's probably most akin to Lowen Prise, although that is more aniseed, whereas this is straight up liquorice. That makes it not for everyone but I quite enjoy it. I must say I mostly struggle to pick up the vanilla notes.
A good one to have on the go when I don't have time to savour something special.
