Pöschl Red Bull A-Type has a medium-fine grind with moderate moisture content. The blend uses German tobacco with a multi-layered aromatic profile that includes menthol, eucalyptus, and camphor as the primary notes. Peppermint and anise add secondary layers, with subtle fruity sweetness in the background.
This variant differs from the original Red Bull with the addition of sweet peppermint and stronger anise notes. The colour is medium brown and the nicotine strength is moderate. The moisture level is typical of German snuffs.

It's hard to be the lesser-known of the two Red Bulls, but Type A needs its own cheerleaders. I actually like it better than its more famous sibling, which has a good scent but acts like a cork in my nose.
The of Type A grind is darker than RB, and has more volume to it when decanted and stirred in your preferred container. It is moist and fluffy.
Type A has a prominent spearmint scent with some of the dark tobacco underneath. Some others claim to detect menthol or eucalyptus, which usually stop me right up. With Type A, I don't get a bit of that. Others say it has a fruity undertone, which I get on the first sniff if I stop there to reflect on it. But alas for the fruity tone, I am a three pinch man and overpower the fruit with sweet spearmint.
